A theatre education campaign
The theater can provide impulses and food for thought, it opens worlds. Often these worlds remain closed to those who have neither the financial means nor the social background to gain access to the theater as a young person. That is why we launched the »Platz frei!« campaign: some can donate tickets, others finally get the chance to enjoy the theater. All together have the possibility of a practical introduction to the play by our theater education department before the performance of the evening.

Theater can provide important impulses and food for thought as well as open up other perspectives. Theater opens worlds. Often these worlds remain closed to those who have neither the financial means nor the social background to gain access to theater as a young person. That is why we brought the campaign »Platz frei!« to life. Simply purchase a »Platz frei!« voucher via our webshop, which we provide to young people to attend a selected performance. We are in contact with interested persons and hand over your ticket voucher directly to them. On the evening of the performance, we offer a hands-on play introduction by our theater pedagogy.

Have you ever thought of theater? Do you think this is too expensive? Just what for older, wealthy people? Make the theater the place for you and your friends and come to »Platz frei!« In the Schaubühne!
With our monthly campaign »Platz frei!« youths and young adults up to 25 years have the opportunity to visit performances at the Schaubühne free of charge. Once a month we offer a selected »Platz frei!« performance. You can find these in our programme. On the evening of the performance, you can also take part in a practical introduction to the play with theater education department. Here you can meet like-minded people and get background information on the performance of the evening.
